POUNDS teams with fellow New York bruiser Meyhem Lauren for a cinematic new banger, “Problem,” produced by Fith. The hard-hitting track is also the latest we’re hearing from POUNDS’ upcoming project, Pee Wee Kirkland.
POUNDS and Fith have dropped a number of raw joints together in the past, so it comes as no surprise that they’re bringing the heat with “Problem.” And to make matters worse for their contemporaries, the rapper-producer combo is joined by Meyhem Lauren’s arsenal of streetwise bars. It’s a perfect pairing lyrically and sonically, because these two rappers complement each other’s instantly recognizable voices.
From Fith’s filmic instrumental through to the quotables delivered by each emcee—among others, “This trap shit like a highwire act”—this single will have listeners all the more excited to hear Pee Wee Kirkland when it drops this summer. It boasts features from CRIMEAPPLE and Dwayne Collins as well, and is sure to be another gem in POUNDS’ ever-impressive catalogue.
Give “Problem” a stream, and keep an eye out for the release of Pee Wee Kirkland,
which will be available through all digital retailers and streaming platforms late July/ Early August, via [KSD].
