MariBased1 is the leader of the next generation of Hip Hop in Seattle. Unique in its creation, his stage name is an homage to one of musical influences Lil B. Combining the beginning of his given name, he added the Based to it and of course the “1” to symbolize his confidence in his skill set and place in today’s entertainment industry.
Hailing from the Northside of Seattle, Washington Maribased has established himself as a household name up and down the west coast. His accolades include the crown for “Best Mixtape” award at the Seattle Sound Music Awards (2018); he also has won “Breakout Artist” for the West Coast Hip-Hop Awards and is listed at #8 on the “Top 20 Movers N Shakers” in Seattle’s Best of the Best Crane City Awards.
His last release Mariotto Mixtape Vol 1 (2017) amassed 1 Million views via FaceBook for the single, Ripping & Running and called for an award from his label BJ&J Entertainment for the accomplishment. The follow up is Mariotto 2 which features popular singles Bouncin & Score’N accompanied by 2 music videos in rotation on BET JAMS. Both are available on all digital platforms worldwide.
