Rublow’s project, BLOW PRINT, released on 4/19 via Cash Money Records, is a testament to his unique talent. He skillfully combines compelling storytelling with catchy hooks, blending modern melodies with classic bars in a style that is distinctly his own. This innovative approach sets him apart as a true pioneer in the music industry.
The Tampa, Florida native has dreamed of making music globally since he was around nine years old. Fast-forward 16 years, and at the age of 25, Rublow has made his dream a reality. Rublow decided to relocate to Los Angeles, California, to submerge himself in the music industry fully. He admits that the move to LA was a strategic decision, which ultimately enabled him to establish connections and collaborate with some of the most prominent figures in Hollywood’s music scene, including Anwar Hadid and his partner, the renowned artist Dua Lipa.
I want people to hear authenticity in my voice, originality, I want them to be motivated when they listen and are feeling low. I want them to feel like they can do this too. – Rublow
Rublow initially made waves with his three singles, “Rublow 2x,” “Dumb Dumb,” and “Wishing Freestyle,” which received praise upon their release. The music video for “Rublow 2x” credits Hadid for being the creative director on set for the single. Many mainstream publications, such as EARMILK and more, have even claimed that he has the potential to become a household name in hip-hop. Rublow’s sound, a unique blend of modern trap beats and classic hip-hop lyricism, has captivated audiences worldwide.
“I use the patterns of my voice differently,” he notes. “I’m talking about life from a new perspective. Nowadays, you’re not getting that in rap, especially at my age. I’m an inspired young black kid who came from nothing and is trying to make my people feel proud. I’m a man of God. I’m trying to trailblaze.” – Rublow
In the summer of 2022, his talent and musical ability caught the attention of Cash Money Records co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. Slim had this to say when asked about signing Rublow: “Not only is his sound something I’ve never heard before, but Rublow offers the best of both worlds, and it’s why he’s going to be a superstar now.” As a result, he secured a deal with the iconic label, joining a roster that includes artists like Blueface, Saviii 3rd, B.G., Jacquees, and Juvenile.
Rublow’s first release as an artist for Cash Money Records was “Blow Muzik.” Two years later, in 2024, he released a follow-up single, “Blow Talk,” which has a similar title to his previous single. The music video for “Blow Talk” recently just surpassed 233,000 views globally. Although many of his fans have asked for the last year when he would release an EP or project, his song “No Weight” made his fanbase demand new music from Rublow. In February, Cash Money Records announced that Rublow’s debut EP, “Blow Talk,” would have a release date before the month was up. Birdman, Slim, and Cash Money Records upheld their end of the deal and let fans know the project would be released on April 19th. The project includes production from producers such as LYD Do It, Daniel Miranda, JB Sauced Up, MikeXBeatz, Prodpharoah, RicoGotThatFye and Sinista on da Traxx.
What stood out to me was that the A&Rs for the project were none other than Bryan Montesano and Matthew “Matty B” “Bernal.” Bryan is known for his work with artists like Lil Wayne, Future, and especially Nicki Minaj, as he is the A&R behind the biggest songs in her musical career; Matty B is the in-house A&R for Cash Money Records and has an impressive track record as well. The mixtape is easy to access as Universal Music Group, the powerhouse of the record industry, has distributed it as well as Republic Records.
