Being born on December 20th, 2004, it’s safe to say that Slump6s is the voice of the young people. Namil Bridges, aka Slump6s, was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He was always a music fan and played around with the idea of rapping in middle school. It wasn’t until high school that Namil began recording and releasing music. The first song released was titled Jugg!, and Slump6s has shown tremendous growth in his ability from then to now. The song has surpassed 40k+ listens on SoundCloud and is one of his most played tracks to this day.
After his introduction to the game with Jugg, Slump6s has found his rhythm and, with that, has brought him a following success with each release. To start 2020, he released “Spark” and began to get mainstream eyes on his talent. His debut project, titled 16 EP, brought him a new audience. In 2021 he dropped his breakout single “Antisocial“, which features BabySantana. It immediately gained 11.4 million Spotify streams. The effort was enough to get him a deal with Republic Records.
His debut album, Origin, was released in November of last year. He has multiple dope songs, but the one that stands out most is the lead single, Moment. Over a year’s time, the song has received 1 million all-time streams. Even though he has a creative and distinctive sound, with comparisons to musicians like BKTheRula, Ka$hDami, BabySantana, and others, Slump6s is in great company sound-wise. Earlier this year, Slump6s released two songs back to back, one titled Presidential and the other a track called jabawockeez. The track came with a nickwelchprod, and randomrmd directed video released on Youtube. It has now received 293k views since then.
Before the summer, Slump6s announced he would be releasing a new project titled Genesis. The project was released in July under Republic Records and Universal Music Group. It has two features, artist spgwes and Destroy Lonely. Although he is still just a teen, Slump6s is paving the way, showing that no matter what age you are, you can achieve your goals and dreams.
He released videos for the track “Luv, Hate,” “Top,” “No ID,” and “One.” All videos were directed by dremalice, besides one directed by DotComNirvan. Check out the album below and follow him on Instagram, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Youtube.
