Jay-Z Is Being Sued Over “Big Pimpin” Sample

Jay-Z is heading to trial. Hov and Timbaland are accused of stealing the flute sample for the classic “Big Pimpin” hit. 

Osama Ahmen Fahmy is the nephew of artist Baligh Hamdy and the person who is sueing Jay-Z claiming the flute sample you hear throughout the song was stolen from Hamdy. Apparently his legal team is bringing up Hov’s 20 year old criminal history as a precedent in their case against him. They’re petty for that! 

Hov has specifically asked the judge that his criminal history and finances be kept out of the trial. We will see how this plays out! People will sue for anything if they think they can get a little money…
