29-year-old rapper “L2B” kicked off his music career in his hometown of New Haven, CT, but now resides in Los Angeles, CA where he can take things to the next level..
L2B first emerged mid-2009 with his debut mixtape “The Elm City Assassin (Hosted by DJ CapCom)”, featuring production from Jahlil Beats. In 2013, he was spotlighted “MONSTARS,” a record pulled from rapper The Game’s official Black Wallstreet mixtape, and was also presented alongside the likes of Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Jim Jones, and others on the highly-widespread mixtape “Blood is Thicker Than Water Pt. 12“.
In 2017, The Source Magazine premiered L2B’s debut album “The Artist LP”. The story-driven songs landed L2B on platforms such as HipHopDX, 2DopeBoyz, Thisis50, and many more. Today, he caps off 2020 with his extremely necessary release, “A Serious Problem” & gives listeners a few words to accompany his latest.
“I’ve been struggling creatively, with everything going on in the world. If I say anything right now, I want it to mean something. I want to make people uncomfortable with the truth. Rather than a chorus, I wanted to listen to the voice of Toni Morrison, for how well she says everything that needs to be said. We need to listen more in order to learn. This song is for those who choose to look past the racism in America. I have loved ones who have no other choice but to experience it, every day. I wanted to share some of my stories of growing up as a white kid who was raised around black culture, seeing racism firsthand. Racism is not fake news, neither is police brutality towards black people. These are real memories. This is real life.”
