If it’s one thing you can count on new Heir Wave artist Kahri 1k, it’s he is the next big thing in Hip-Hop.
The new sensation unveiled his latest visual off new album Friday (April 24) called “Fort Night,” and the video game-influenced cut is not a game other than what the title suggests. Directed by Chris Thomas, the Virginia rapper stars as an eager gamer ready to conquer the competition with catchy and brooding raps.
Kahri 1k on “Fort Night”: “This song was an opportunity for me to show my fans how creative I can get. When we connected with Chris for the video treatment bringing the older and younger generations together was a goal of ours. That’s why we decided to include the “pulling drive bys” scene with Caine and Ronnie from Menace II Society in the beginning. You pair that with something as popular as Fornite and everything comes together smoothly. I don’t play the game as much as I used to, but I’ll pick up the stick every now and then.”
The new song and video is off Kahri 1k’s critically praised project, The Ghost of Pecan Acres. The same project that brought us the rapper’s latest hits “Pain” and “When They See Us”. Quando Rondo and Yung Bleu co-star.
“Fort Night” and The Ghost of Pecan Acres is streaming now on all DSP via Heir Wave Music Group. For more Kahri 1k, visit Instagram and Twitter. Watch the new video now.
