Booths Basement

Within the past couple of years, media has made a huge transformation, as podcasts have become the face of today’s media. Countless amounts of podcasts are doing their thing on a global and local scale. Booths Basement in my opinion, happens to be one of the best podcasts in Denver. The podcast was started two years ago, by Denver native Kalynne Bell also known as Booth. The show allows guests to come on and discuss multiple topics from music, sports, relationships, and more. Over time the podcast views began to increase, passing 10,000 plus viewers, and it wasn’t long until artists, models, and more were reoccurring guests on the show. There is a segment on the show that was created and added to the podcast called “Freestyle Fridays”, where a different artist was selected to come put their freestyle ability to the test. Booths Basement podcast is engineered and edited by Stevie Buggz, owner of media powerhouse Bright Future Media. They are currently on season six and are soon to be starting season seven.

Interview With Kalynne Bell

Q. What made you start the podcast?

“I noticed we were missing something in the city and that we didn’t have any podcasts or shows that gave artists a chance to show themselves and their personalities, music is just more than having talent it really reflects who you are as a person”.

Q. Out of all the guests who have been your favorite?

“My favorite would have to be my women empowerment episode with Victoria, Maya (Kreame) and Marie From The 303”.

Q. If you could have any guest on the podcast dead or alive, who would it be and why?

“Sheesh I would probably have someone crazy on there like Whitney Houston or Biggie. Those would be my top two because I feel Like they would give me the best and messiest interviews it would be super entertaining”.

Q. Who is your favorite Colorado artist right now?

“I honestly don’t have a favorite artist right now but I do listen to Tracye Chapman, Polo Hilfiger, LPeez, Hitta Voisi and 30 Ave. Also, I listen to some female artists like Danae Simon and Pretty Girl Care I like them too”.
