Things have certainly heated up between Drake and Funk Flex! It all started back when Meek Mill called out Drake for using a ghost writer and reference tracks. As of recently, Drake has been in NYC for 2 shows at Madison Square Garden along with Future for the Summer Sixteen Tour. The first night, Drake took a moment to address Funk Flex and Hot 97. Live and on air, Flex let some things be known! Flex broke down the situation with Meek, the reference tracks and how it all transpired saying Drake’s verse was suspected of taking shots at Meek and Drake was pressed about it- hence blamed it on a “reference track.” Also, Flex details a situation where Puff (Sean Combs, duh) had Drake hemmed up, security grabbed Drake and pushed him to a car hard enough that Drizzy had to wear an arm brace. And the last story Flex tells id Drake coming to Hot 97 a few years ago and spit a written freestyle off his Blackberry phone.
Flex has the respect in NYC and within the industry. He will not get fired because Drake says so. The saga continues…
