Chance the Rapper joins Darkchild protegee Jon Keith on “YOU CAN ALWAYS COME BACK HOME,” off his forthcoming album AND FLY. Once again produced by in-house producer Enzo Gran, the song is a triumphant anthem for every prodigal child who has ever wondered if they’ve wandered too far from grace. Rooted in the promise of unchanging love, the song declares that no matter how many times you’ve fallen, how long you’ve been gone, or how far you’ve strayed, the invitation remains the same: come home.
“I’ve met so many people who believe they’ve gone too far to be forgiven. They carry shame, regret, and the weight of their past like there’s no way back. I wanted to write a song that looked them in the eyes and said, ‘Come home.’ My hope is that this song gives people the courage to take that first step back, because no matter how far you’ve wandered, you can always come home,” the West Coast wordsmith shares in a press statement about the fresh drop.
The collaboration follows “WHAT A LIFE” as well as the music video for “KILLERS,” which revealed Chance the Rapper, DaniLeigh, Torey D’Shaun, Dell Mac, Eris Ford, Alienz Alive label-mate Aklesso and Aaron Cole “Usher In The Spirit” instrumentalist Tenroc as guest contributors to his GROW WINGS sequel.
