Jon Keith Shares New Track, “Won’t Fly,” After The Breakfast Club

Wasting no time after appearing on The Breakfast Club during Alienz Alive founder Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins’ captivating conversation in honor of his 2025 Songwriter’s Hall of Fame induction, genre-bending artist Jon Keith returns with “WON’T FLY,” a raw, reflective single that blends airy textures with gut-punch honesty. “WON’T FLY” sounds like it’s soaring—but carries the weight of someone who’s been grounded by shame, self-doubt, and the longing to be seen.

Serving as the third release from Jon’s upcoming album GROW WINGS, which explores transformation through faith, frustration, and fiercely human vulnerability, this latest offering finds him confessing the tension between being torn up inside and still hoping someone might love him “when I’m someone.”

In a press statement addressing the new release, Keith details:

“This song came from a place of being fed up with myself, with the masks I wore, with the fear that love was something I had to earn. WON’T FLY is what it sounds like to be cracked open but still reaching upward.”

The timely track follows Keith’s participation in Darkchild Sessions, which were recorded in Tennessee at Apple Music Nashville alongside fellow rising acts, Hulvey and nobigdyl. In a genre-defying reinterpretation of Rodney Jerkins’ R&B classics. Together, the performance and the new single give a glimpse of what fans as well as critics alike can expect from his GROW WINGS album when it’s released in its entirety on June 27th.
