New Education Course at Georgia University: Outkast and The Rise of Hip-Hop South

This is incredible! Hip-Hop has come so far and this is another huge win for the culture.

Pioneers of southern hip-hop, Outkast, are going to be part of a new course at Savannah’s Armstrong University that studies how “ideas about that south and southernness seep into other writers,” said College Professor Regina Bradley. Bradley says the course will also study the Black Lives Movement and more. She goes on to explain her formats for connecting African American Literature and Popular Culture in a way that engages students.

Big Boi heard the news and was proud of the course! Big Boi is originally from Savannah, GA as well.
